Secure Private Cloud

The right cloud strategy helps to avoid risks to your data. Read here what you can do.

Businesses need tools to protect their data, especially in environments where sharing with internal and external partners has become a standard.
What structure and functions should a private cloud have so that it can be operated safely?

Generally, these tools should be easy and quick to use, i. it is about "simplicity" of the product. Less necessary IT knowledge and centralized web administration mean that the required solutions can be quickly implemented or adapted and thus dynamically scalable.
Simplicity therefore also means cost savings, since the use of standard components for local or cloud servers and the implementation with own personnel without deep previous knowledge are cheaper than proprietary storage products and external consultants.
Easy-to-use software avoids errors due to lack of knowledge and therefore leads to a safety benefit.

Security is also gained through the general architecture of the private cloud and through functions:

Data sovereignty

In the cloudplan private cloud, you can integrate your own storage components locally or from the cloud, for which only the company retains data sovereignty. Hybrid or multi-cloud environments are also possible

The safest way to transfer data from A to B is end-to-end encryption. It means there is no instance on the way from start to finish that can read the data. In the cloudplan private cloud, end-to-end encrypted connections are established automatically, comparable to an ad-hoc VPN. The storage components and clients are automatically found in the network, whether in the LAN, WAN or Internet.

Secure Messages

Secure sending of encrypted messages is only possible with standard software if the sender and recipient use a public / private key infrastructure.

The communicating participants must have previously set up and arranged an appropriate infrastructure. This is more likely in limited environments such as a business, but not in communication with partners.

cloudplan offers the sending of Secure Messages, in which the recipient receives an e-mail whose content can only be opened with a separate password.

In this message, a so-called "Web link" that allows access to files, can be included so that not only the message itself, but also file attachments can be password protected.

2 factor authentication

In banking, it has just become standard by EU directive and should also be used in a private cloud. After optional activation, users must authenticate with email, password and an additional code. This increases security because the code is generated with an app on the personal smartphone.

4 eye web links

The sending of web links can optionally be done only according to the 4-eye principle. Team members, leaders, etc. can be defined who release the sending of web links. Additional analysis tools provide an overall view of the links created.

Secure: Storage on own infrastructure with 100% data sovereignty.
Encrypted: End-to-end encryption with AES 256
2 factor authentication: Do not rely solely on the password input.
Secure Messages: Securely send content to partners without having to exchange keys first.
4 eye web links: Increase transparency and security through controlled release processes.
